Parents and Students,

It seems there are some security issues that need to be sorted out with our website, so for the time being IÕm using a more simplistic version of our website.

Sorry for the inconvenience É

March 13, 2012

To: Wilson Orchestra Parents

From: Joseph Kaye

This is the week! HereÕs another reminder on what your child is to wear for the Pre-festival and Festival performances:

CONCERT ATTIRE

Males: Concert Dress – white shirt, black slacks, black dress shoes and socks. (Cummerbund and bowtie will be provided)

Females: Concert Dress – black pants or long black skirt, black dress shoes, and a white top with at least ¼ sleeves -- bare backs, cleavage, and exposed midriffs will not be allowed. (Cummerbund will be provided)

Friday at 7PM in the Wilson Gym, both the Band and Orchestra will have our Pre-festival Concert. Students need to arrive no later than 6:30PM. Cummerbunds and bowties for the will be passed out before the concert and not collect until after our performance on Saturday.

Saturday morning students will need to come to school no later than 7AM, dressed for the Festival complete with cummerbunds and bowties. After the performance your child will be assigned a position to help out with keeping the festival running smoothly. Make sure your kids bring their orchestra t-shirt for the rest of the day and some money for any medals, stickers, food, etc.

Fundraising:

To make this weekendÕs fundraiser more successful we are asking parents and students to donate baked foods, 8 healthy cucumbers or hotdogs and buns. All donated items will be collected Friday morning before school.

CLICK HERE for the parent survey.

*** If purchasing anything other than baked goods, plastic forks, and napkins the Imperial County Public Health Department requires receipts for proof of recent purchases. Please turn in receipts with food donations.***

We still need parents to help volunteer time on Saturday. If you are available we can definitely use the help and it will be greatly appreciated. We will start cooking and prepping the refreshments at 7AM. We need a few more parents to help in the afternoon, if youÕre interested please indicate on the online survey. Any parents helping in the kitchen please bring knifes, tongs, can openers, peelers, crock pots if possible.

Thanks,

Joseph Kaye
