A native to El Centro, Joseph Kaye is a product of the El Centro public school systems. After graduating from Southwest High School in 2001, Joseph enrolled in the Music Education department at Ball State University in Muncie Indiana to become a music teacher and further his studies on violin with the renowned violinist, Ms. Sherry Kloss. In the spring of 2005 Mr. Kaye received his B.S. degree and took on his former teacher’s, Carolyn Sechrist, position as Orchestra teacher for the El Centro Elementary School District. Since 2005 Joseph keeps active in musical ensembles such as the Imperial Valley Symphony, Imperial Valley String Quartet, and numerous summer institutes around the United States. Currently, Mr. Kaye is the very active in the Imperial Valley Music Teachers Association and maintains a healthy violin studio of 24+ students.
